Schering-Plough Biopharma supports a world-renowned international Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program with 25 postdoctoral Fellows. Our Fellows have the exceptional opportunity to conduct world-class research supported by sophisticated technology in our state-of-the-art facility. This program is an essential component of our discovery research and it continues to receive the highest priority. Fellows pursue individual research interests within the framework of institutional research programs. The support of Schering-Plough Corporation provides Schering-Plough Biopharma with the resources necessary to translate our discoveries into novel therapeutics for important and unmet medical needs.
There have been more than 400 postdoctoral Fellows in the Schering-Plough Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program since its inception in 1981. The program is coordinated by a Postdoctoral Program Chair, who works with each Fellow and provides mentorship to help ensure a mutually beneficial postdoctoral experience. Fellowships are offered for an initial one-year period and are renewable for second and third years upon review by the advisor and department director.

Schering-Plough Biopharma Postdoctoral Fellows participate in our publishing activities and benefit from our comprehensive postdoctoral program. Program highlights include seminars, lectures and meeting series. All offer exposure to the local scientific community and interaction with key members of the Schering-Plough Biopharma team. Fellows are also eligible to compete for the Annual Postdoctoral Research Hajime Award, in which three Schering-Plough Biopharma Postdoctoral Fellows receive cash prizes for outstanding efforts in scientific discovery.
