RAUL E. KOHAN
Senior Vice President, Corporate Excellence and Deputy Head, Global Animal Health

Raul E. Kohan is senior vice president, Corporate Excellence and Deputy Head, Global Animal Health for Schering-Plough Corporation.

Kohan is responsible for overseeing the company's Corporate Excellence area, which encompasses productivity and re-engineering initiatives.

Kohan joined Schering-Plough in 1984 as finance director of Schering-Plough Venezuela, became operations director for the company's Latin America and Far East regions in 1986, and was named general manager of the company's Venezuelan subsidiary in 1988. He was appointed vice president, Finance Operations, Schering-Plough International, in 1990. In 1993, he was named president of Schering-Plough Animal Health. In May 2003, he was appointed group head, Global Specialty Operations, and president, Animal Health Care. His responsibilities included overseeing the company's Global Specialty Operations group, which comprised Animal Health Care and Consumer Health Care. Kohan was named senior vice president and president, Animal Health, in February 2007.

Prior to joining Schering-Plough, Kohan was employed by Pfizer Inc., where he served as controller and budget and economic analysis director of the company's Argentine operations and treasurer of its Latin American region.

Kohan graduated from the General San Martin Military Academy, Argentina, and holds an M.B.A. degree in economics from the University of Buenos Aires.
