The education of our children, particularly in
the area of science, has always been an important part of the Foundation's
philanthropic activities. We provide leadership in science education
by investing in the construction of science and technology laboratories
in high schools and colleges, and by sponsoring student and teacher
mentorship programs and summer camps. The Foundation is proud to
have instituted a scholarship program that currently benefits secondary
and higher education students in 15 New Jersey schools. Through
the "Schering-Plough Foundation Scholars Program," each of the 15
schools receives $10,000 per year to award to a student who satisfies
certain criteria.
To recieve support from the Schering-Plough Foundation, a non-profit
organization should determine if it fits within the the Guidelines.
If it does, an application should be completed online. For more
information, see our Pre-Application Questionnaire.

Hundreds of Schering-Plough U.S. colleagues volunteered as part of the 2007 Community Projects Day. Colleagues rolled up their sleeves to paint rooms, renovate landscaping, entertain the elderly, deliver meals to the homebound, sort clothing and food donations, read to young children and many other tasks.
