Research Institute (SPRI) attracts top-notch scientists from around

Our researchers are passionate in their pursuit of innovative products
that can provide doctors with the therapies they need to improve

In 2004, Schering-Plough invested more than $1.6 billion in research
and development. Research targets at SPRI include allergic and inflammatory
disorders, infectious diseases, oncology, cardiovascular disease
and central nervous system disorders.
To support research and development initiatives, we integrate new technologies into our drug discovery and development programs. This effort has made Schering-Plough a leader in biotechnology, genomics and gene therapy. We also supplement in-house research with strategic partnerships and alliances that support development of new therapies and provide access to new research technologies.
