SCHERING-PLOUGH RESEARCH INSTITUTE - CAMBRIDGE
Schering-Plough Research Institute, Cambridge, Mass. (SPRI-Cambridge) combines the resources of a global pharmaceutical company with an entrepreneurial biotechnology environment. The site is the former NeoGenesis Pharmaceuticals, which Schering-Plough acquired in February 2005.
Prior to its acquisition, NeoGenesis developed the Automated Ligand
Identification System (ALIS), which is the core technology at SPRI-Cambridge.
Together with high-throughput chemical technologies, ALIS enables
rapid screening of target proteins to facilitate target validation
and the discovery of drug candidates in various disease areas, including
cancer, infection and CNS disorders.
