Clinical Development evaluates the safety and effectiveness of newly developed therapies and diagnostic procedures. This team investigates new medical entities as well as marketed products for initial and new indications.
The Clinical Development group has overall responsibility for SPRI's clinical trials. These trials vary in scope, ranging from investigative studies in human trials of 10 to 20 subjects at a single site, to global, pivotal registration trials in several thousand patients conducted at several hundred sites. In support of Clinical Development, Global Clinical Operations, oversees and manages all the company's clinical trials. This includes the clinical project management components as well as all investigator site facing activities.
