Global Project Management (GPM) increases stakeholder
value by maximizing the return on all investments in Schering-Plough's
development pipeline.
We achieve this by facilitating both the drug
development and drug acquisition processes. Expertise in GPM includes
five functions: project leadership, project management operations,
Japan liaison, strategic planning & programs, and R&D licensing.
For the advancement of the company and our projects, here is what
we do:
- Develop projects to their full potential by providing objective
strategic direction, planning and management expertise.
- Lead with clear vision along the complexity of the development pathway, while building team ownership of each functional role in the integrated plan.
- Enhance the SPRI development portfolio:
- Manage due diligence activities of cross-functional evaluation teams
for in-licensing opportunities; develop the assessment and
present recommendations.
- Translate the desired commercial product profile into a defined target image and labeling.
- Consolidate functional input to global Strategic Development
Plans and Life-Cycle Management Plans.
- Bring transparency to the balance of resources needed to
execute the project plans and to ensure enable alignment with
company priorities.
- Facilitate the development process:
- Optimize plans with success criteria, milestones and budgets
to achieve development targets.
- Integrate cross-functional activities to reach earliest
go/no-go decisions.
- Identify opportunities and implement paths for project acceleration.
- Anticipate operational issues and resolve conflicts between functions.
- Ensure timely communication to inspire action on projects at all levels of the company.
